Biometric Information Notice, Retention Policy, and Release

  • Effective Date: September 30, 2026

Kishreeja LLC, doing business as Travellios (“Travellios”), uses a third-party identity-verification provider (the “Verification Provider”) to confirm the identity of Service Takers and Service Providers. This Notice explains how the Verification Provider collects, stores, and uses biometric identifiers and biometric information for Travellios, and it asks for your written release. This Notice is separate from the Terms of Use, and accepting those Terms does not give this release.

1. What Is Collected

During verification, the Verification Provider captures an image of your government-issued identification and a live image or short video of your face (a “selfie”). The Verification Provider creates a scan of face geometry from the selfie and from the photograph on your identification and compares the two. A scan of face geometry is a biometric identifier, and information based on it that is used to identify you is biometric information. This Notice calls both “Biometric Data.”

2. Purpose

Biometric Data is collected, stored, and used only to verify that the person creating or using an account is the person shown on the identification document, to prevent fraud and account misuse, and to comply with legal requirements. Biometric Data is not used for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

3. Who Holds Biometric Data

The Verification Provider collects and stores Biometric Data on behalf of Travellios under a written contract that requires the Verification Provider to follow this Notice. Travellios receives the verification result (for example, verified, not verified, or needs review) and limited account details, such as your name and date of birth. Travellios does not receive or store Biometric Data on its own systems.

4. Retention Schedule

The Verification Provider keeps Biometric Data only as long as needed to complete verification and resolve any related fraud review. Biometric Data is permanently destroyed no later than thirty (30) days after the verification decision, unless a valid warrant or subpoena or applicable law requires a longer period. In every case, Biometric Data is permanently destroyed no later than the earlier of (a) the date the purpose in Section 2 has been satisfied or (b) three (3) years after your last interaction with Travellios.

5. Destruction Guidelines

When the retention period ends, the Verification Provider permanently deletes Biometric Data from its active systems and backups using industry-standard deletion methods and certifies the deletion to Travellios on request. If you close your account or withdraw this release, the Verification Provider destroys your Biometric Data within the period stated in Section 4.

6. No Sale or Profit

Neither Travellios nor the Verification Provider sells, leases, trades, or otherwise profits from your Biometric Data.

7. Disclosure

Travellios and the Verification Provider do not disclose, redisclose, or otherwise share Biometric Data with anyone, including other users, airlines, and advertisers, except:

  • with your consent, or the consent of your legally authorized representative;
  • to complete a financial transaction that you request or authorize;
  • as required by federal or state law or a municipal ordinance; or
  • as required by a valid warrant or subpoena issued by a court of competent jurisdiction.

8. Security

Biometric Data is stored, transmitted, and protected from disclosure using the reasonable standard of care in the identity-verification industry, and in a manner at least as protective as the way Travellios and the Verification Provider protect other confidential and sensitive information.

9. Your Choices

You may decline this release. If you decline, you cannot complete automated identity verification, and Travellios may be unable to activate booking or Service Provider features that require verification. You may withdraw this release at any time by emailing support@travellios.com with the subject line “Biometric Release Withdrawal.”

10. Public Availability

This Notice, including the retention schedule in Section 4 and the destruction guidelines in Section 5, is posted on the Platform and available to the public at all times.

11. Written Release

  • give Travellios and the Verification Provider your written release to collect, store, and use your Biometric Data as described in this Notice.

Your electronic signature on this release has the same effect as a handwritten signature. If the person being verified is under 18, the parent or legal guardian gives this release as that person’s legally authorized representative.
